    Look, I like InDesign, but Quark still has some tricks that make it better for producing large volumes. One of such, as I said, is "synchronized text." If you don't know what that is, then you really can't comment. Since InDesign has nothing like Synchronized text, changing elements that are consistent on some pages but not others (sections headers, for example), is tedious.



    As far as shutting down after 100 pages, I don't know where you got that idea. My point is that, in InDesign, a document longer than about 100 pages is unwieldy. I wasn't considering InDesign's extravagant memory requirements at the time, but now that you mention it, I suppose it could be a consideration. Quark IS much faster.
