My posting this thread was more of a survey question, given that Apple is rumored to be offering the wireless headphone feature in future premium iPods.
I agree, quality matters when you are listening in your quiet living room.
Wireless fits the on-the-go or sporting lifestyle. Usually, there is too much background for the "lower fidelity" to be noticed (cars, people talking).
For over three decades I've made a living in audio design, so I know where you are coming from on using quality headphones.
But I do see a purpose for wireless- I've used almost all models that are available- the freedom has a certain value.
