I agree with the person above that these resolutions are really for animations and Comedy Central where great vistas are not a factor.
However I have been watching how iTunes v. CD's and other products have been studied using the techniques of "The Long Tail" approach to making money - I'm sure many of you have already seen this. This Wired article gives an overview, but the blog is what is really great.
I wonder how much this is being experimented with. For instance there are a few hit shows like 24 being added, but I bet FOX and friends are fishing to see which unkown shows get caught up in the dynamics of the long tail!!
