Well, it will probably never be free again, but I can live with that. Just offer us the "email only -- $10/year" plan WITHOUT having to attach it to a full account!
I wonder why it isn't sjobs@mac.com, or steve@mac.com, do you think it's because he doesn't want to pay the $100 a year?

Ok im in canada so this will be about $150 a year. but here is some thing i can do.
I my self can get web hosting for $100 a year thats 500 megs of space 50+ pop accounts, ,ftp, ssh, etc. with unliminted bandwith. so to me apple is ripping off with $100. $50 US i could see a year.
[quote]Perhaps it costs 100 bucks or close to that to run the service. If you dont need it that bad then you save Apple money by leaving. If you need it that bad or even would be willing to pay more than both you and apple benefit.

maybe you should just look round what other hosters offer for $8 (or something in this ballpark). Just one example hosteurope.de. For those who are not able to figure out the german: One domain, 50MB space, 100 Email adresses, 10 subdomains, Webmail, backup service ...
.Mac is just too expensive. It's not 1998 any longer.
