the old bookmarks are stored in

    /users/%username%/.mozilla/profiles/

its an invisible folder by default so you either have to cli it, or get tinkertool and show hidden files in the finder.

    the new directory should be

    /users/%username%/library/mozilla/profiles/

I would say this...If you are looking for a full replacement to IE, you should wait 'till Chimera 1.0. It should be quite solid and "feature rich" by then. So until then, just think of it as a fun little sneak preview.

i've been using .4 for a while (grabbed it as a nightlty build before the "official" release)...it seems very stable to me and downloads great, which was my major complaint before (just tonight i couldn't download from mp3 with IE for some reason, but chimera worked great)...use it the most of all my browsers....g

    can't wait for 1.0

    0.4 is really a good improvement. We can now use all of the major plug-ins. (!) <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

So far no luck, Chimera crashes on me too much. But it has promise and looks beautiful. Renders pretty good, but I do wish it had more consistancy with Aqua. I'm used to OmniWeb and nothing looks as killer as that application. Maybe when OW 5 is out it will be good enough for Apple to bundle it as their free, DEFAULT web browser!

Yeah, go put Omniweb 5 in your pipe and SMOKE IT, Bill Gates! IE isn't the default browser in OS X any more, and guess why? It's not because we can, it's because you SUCK and Omniweb 5 ROCKS! So go back to Redmond and find a nice rotund sheep to shag.

If Apple bundles a new browser and sets it to default, I would be on a Chimera-alike gecko-based homegrown browser with some novelty iApp feature.
