I want a channel in sherlock 3 that is "weather". This would be better. Much better. It could forcast and show you a satelite image etc. Yeah, that would rock.

I have tried 1.5.1 using weather.gov and my.aol, but in both cases I get sun/moon at wrong times of day, and temps that are way off (i.e., several hours off). Dang. I really love this app, but have turned it off for the moment.

    fish...from above post:

Kenneth: Have you tried deleting your old WeatherPop preferences file? If not, go to the "Preferences" folder inside the "Library" folder in your home directory and delete the "com.glu.WeatherPop.plist" file. This fixed everything for me.

    so fish....

i had to delete everything twice for some reason....but when i re-downloaded weatherpop 1.5.1 for the second time and changed to my.aol settings everything has been fine..... so i would recommend that you move weatherpop to the trash...look for the weatherpop pref in your home directory library and move that to the trash, empty trash and then re-download 1.5.1 from glu.com....then change prefs to my.aol and see if that works for you...hope it does...when it works right it is so simple and nice...when it doesn't it is a pain in the asssssssss.....g

1.5.2 seems to be working better for me. i'm glad they don't use AOheLl anymore. their current data (weather.gov) is 3 degrees different than weather.com. i wonder which is more accurate?

Finally, WP is working again. I hate it when things just quit working and I realize how much I've come to depend on them. Not that it's really a big thing if I can't tell how hot it is outside w/o actually going there, but it sure made life simpler. (I could complain about 100 degree heat without lying.)

I haven't tried it, but I was about to until today. All I need is a menu extra telling me how hot it is outside. I think that for weatherman you need to install a haxie to get it to work (I've had some BAD luck following installing a couple of those haxies so I stay away from them.)

i personnal like weatherpop better (when it is working it is simple and elegant and i don't have to do any hacks to get it up as a menu item)...i have weatherpop as a startup item in jaguar so it seems like it is a true menu item to me (though it isn't)...with weathermanX i had to download two programs and a hack to get it in the menu area...and i really try to keep my hacks to a minimum.....g

still no-go. Tried it with the latest versin, deleted the plist, and still - showed the moon at 9 in the morning (in sacramento CA), and was off by about 15 degrees F.

    Ah well......

When I downloaded the latest version of Weather Pop while using 10.1.2, it stayed in the menu bar so I didn't have to open it up everytime I start up again. Now after upgrading to 10.2, I have to open Weather Pop up everytime.
