You can find it at http://www.shoepouch.com or on Podophile's page about hacking your shoe for the sensor. Since the Shoe Pouch is so inexpensive, I just used that product rather than trying to fashion one for myself or take my chances with the under the laces fiasco. As for the Amp+, i agree it seems a little out there and seems inconsistent with reality. Anyway, best of luck and enjoy!

$6 USD!!! Score!! The only expensive thing is the shipping to Australia... In time for Christmas...!!! OOOOOH OMFG OMFG I smell a Nike+iPod kit and iPod nano and Shoe Pouch in my stockings.....!! possibly ... to go with my nice broad well-fitting New Balances.

edit: Not expensive to ship -- $8 total to worldwide. Cool. Soooooo tempted........

Can Nike and Apple sue them? Better buy one or several before they get served an injuction or something. But it looks like one could hack the shoe alright, or maybe my mum could stitch a shoe pouch for me Saves $8 USD and waiting for the ShoePouch.

So apparently the sensor does not work by the pressure of the foot on each step - it's more of an accelerometer of sorts, no?

Regarding Bogus or not please keep in mind that the description of the Nike+Amp was written by a Men'sHealth Author not a computer/mac-geek. For must people wireless stands for bluetooth. period.

I would love to buy that ad-on before christmas. My left hand is occupied with a Polar RS200 pulse-watch. I don't care to cary more and more stuff.

Regardings shoe pouches, there are threee manufactureres now, who sell those:

    http://www.switcheasy.com/

    http://shoepouch.com/

    http://www.marware.com/cgi-bin/WebOb...UmsFOWVYxlIvmw

I do have the one from mareware, since it was the first on the market. And I love it! Never lost my sensor on my NewBalance shoes.

NewBalance rocks anyways since they are FairTrade and Made in the U.K. not in sweatshops in Asia.

It's interesting that Nike has become a company that is more complacent in knocking off others than creating new designs themselves. This new Nike+Amp is a clear knock-off of two very distinct Philippe Starck watches doen by Fossil. Have a look for yourselves:

Ahhh, the creative genius. They must be soooo proud.

I have the nike amp and love it. it looks nothing like the fossil or other watch the previous guy compared it to. works great with nike + kit. dont know how to put up a picture but if someone wants to show me how i can post some for you. feels well made super light only wierd thing is in order to size the band you have to cut of the excess watch band plastic material comes in black, baby blue, and green. i wear it as my every day watch now and really like it
