It costs $30 and claims to have all of the fearures of RoboForm and maybe more. It imports all your RoboForm data as well which will be great if it works since I have over 50 sites worth of ID, password and personal info data.
I'll try it out and let you know.
Reading through the forums on the site, it looks like it still might be a bit buggy since it's a fairly new program (v2.4, began May,2006).
Once you've used this kind of program, you'll wonder how you ever used a computer without it.
Interesting, yet can't keychain and firefox do that for you? I have about 25 sites that i visit semi-regularly and I use the same password and username at all of them, as well, so I have no trouble remembering them all.

Yes, Keychain and Firefox do some of the work that RoboForm and (I'm hoping) 1 passwrd do. What they don't do is automatically enter necessary credit card or Bank info if you're buying something on a site (a real pain the ass), special field info like Date of Birth, Drivers Licence #, Title (Mr.,Mrs.DR.), Job Title, Place of Birth, Social Security # (God Forbid!), etc. If you don't do much on line shopping, than you can probably get away without these programs. Another thing they do is 1-click you right to your forum, bank, stock trading site, etc, and log you in automatically. One last small point. A few sites are picky about the total number of alphanumerics in your ID and password. The ID and password I use for everything won't work on these sites so I have to change to a different set. These programs take care of that.
I use Firefox quite a bit on my windows laptop. With its great extensibility, it's my browser of choice. I've been trying out Safari recently (for the first time) on my Mac and it's pretty weak in this area ( unless there is something about its AutoFill function plus Keychain that I don't understand). Unless v 3.0 comes up to par with Firefox, I won't be using Safari much longer. Any advice on Safari that I'm missing would be appreciated.

Talk about a rip-off. Keychain managers passwords in Safari and Firefox has it's own password manager. And safari already has a form fill features. Press Apple+Shift+A.

Did you see what other stuff the program does in my other post? I'd be happy to use Keychain +Safari + AutoFill if the three combined had these other capabilities. AutoFill seems to be very limited in the info you can store unless there is something I missing about it.
Also, the 1 Passwrd has a free trial version so it costs no money to try out.
Many thanks to Shadow Slayer 26 for starting this thread and to all the others who have posted some very useful Mac Apps. I've downloaded quite a few of them, all of which have increased my productivity and enhanced my Mac experience. As a dual platform user (XP and OSX), it's interesting to note that in my experience, the Mac is far superior to XP with regard to the plethora of useful free or cheap OSX add-on programs and utilities.
I promised to update all on 1passwd, the Password Manager and Form Filler program from Agile Web Solutions (http://1passwd.com/). I've been using the trial version for a few days and I can say that it is one terrific program. It has functionality that is equal to or better than multi-award winning RoboForm on the windows platform.
For those in the Mac community who are used to using Safari or Firefox plus AutoFill plus Keychain to manage IDs and passwords, this program adds significantly more functionality especially with regard to 1-click site logins, website form filling including multiple credit card info, the use of program generated strong passwords and anti-phishing. The program is easily integrated into multiple web browsers, e.g. Safari, Firefox, Camino, Flock, etc, syncs with OSX keychain and .Mac. You can also easily import into 1passwd all of the ID, password and personal info you have accumulated over the years from Safari, Firefox, RoboForm. etc. For business people like myself, you can also create multiple identities. So, I have a whole set of personal info in one identity under my name and a different set of info under another identity, my business name.
A very well done, highly recommeded video tutorial demonstrating the use of 1passwd by Don McAllister can be found on the ScreenCastsOnLine website here:
has been a pleasant bonus. The site has a lot of really well done free video tutorials on Mac OSX basic stuff. The premium content, which I have not seen yet since I have not yet subscribed, should also be good if the free video tutorials are any indication.
Well this isn't exactly an application, but mandolux has some great desktops. I'm actually using the 3 leopard ones as a screen saver right now. Looks pretty good.
Yeah, I tried that one, but already have something similar in VoodooPad (the hiding feature would be a bonus for VP...), although I have created multiple pads just because that's what I do; the more the merrier, you know.
With Edgies, I can rip off a certain note and have it sitting beside whatever app I am currently working in (of course I can position VoodooPad's window) and when I am done, it very neatly snaps away. It's just cool.
What I also like, and will take the time here to say it, is how all these different developers come up with lots of cool and unique ways of doing what usually has been rather mundane for eternity. Sometimes I wish for a mix of two or three apps to make the "perfect app" for me, but that'S what feedback is for.
I cannot for the life of me program anymore:
10 print "I am from a darker age."
20 goto 10
Downloaded the demo to Revolution Media to try having some fun while learning scripting. I really want to make an interactive learner's dictonary for Japanese (I have a dictionary for elemetary school kids on my desk but it is a, get this, book with paper pages: that is, it is very slow to use and I wanna help the next guy).
Ah, well it could be that I'm a Desktop neat freak. I have a combination of Spirited Away, Dock Hiding Turned on, a Black Desktop, Backdrop, and Menushade working for me. I keep only running Applications in the dock, but my last goal is to get rid of running Applications (Menushade and Backdrop) in particular so I have a blank EVERYTHING when I start up. It would also be nice if I could get rid of that damn Finder Icon as well, but one can only hope.
Anyhoo, like I'm said, I'm a desktop neat freak and I hate any App that gets in my way.
Don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but Graphic Converterhttp://www.lemkesoft.com/xd/public/c...lkPTE5Mw_.html can't be forgotten! This is often quicker and easier to use for small image editing/conversion tasks than Photoshop and it's a hell of a lot cheaper at 25 euros.
I recently discovered Rapidweaver http://www.realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/ . This is an awesome web-page creator with really nice themes built in. Very easy to use. Still a bit basic but I'm sure they'll add new features. This is what iWeb should have been! US$39.59
I prefer Bits on Wheels http://www.bitsonwheels.com/ as my torrent client of choice. Small and effective and I've never had a problem. Can even create torrent files. Cost: FREE!
I installed my Airport Extreme Base Station today and found a very useful App for taking full screen and window only screen shots. Many programs like Airport utility make it difficult to capture all the IP address and other arcane info from the program. SnapNdrag is a freeware program that offers many more options than OSX built in shift-cmd-4 screen capture. I got it here

Edgies is a recent Stickies replacement that has tabs on the side of the screen. It is pretty interesting.

I rather prefer Sidenote
I don't want a bunch of stickies sticking out of the screen, just one is fine 8)
