    I'm sure an Apple exec confirmed it would be an ipod first and a phone second. Apple aren't a phone company, they deal with music but they probably heard from ipod users what features they'd want and they probably said people were fed up carrying two devices. Hence ipod that can make calls.



    Ideally it would be good as both but I'd rather have a good MP3 player and a crap phone than the other way round. I guess it depends what's more important to you. But you listen to your music more than you talk to someone on the phone and people are used to lower quality phones.

    I like the name iPod Mobile but I think that could be misinterpreted as just being a small ipod.
