My point being you don't build a quad core machine (which most software can't take advantage of anyways)
I thought Apple software was highly multi-core aware as, ever since the Pentium4 started racing ahead in GHz, they had to double up on G4s meaning PowerMacs have been multi-core for 5 years+ I thought it was Windows software, which was mainly written for high GHz single core P4s. which was behind the game on this.
My activity monitor certainly shows a lot of multi-threading but I'm no hardware expert.
