I know it has been mentioned before but i would love to see tabbed browsing in the finder and without raising hell i like the idea of 'breadcrumbs' history at the top of Vista's explorer. Also a button to merge all open finder windows and safari windows into a single tabbed window would be very neat.

And absolutely no trace of brushed metal please

Those ideas are some great ones...and maybe that banner was a sneak peak at whats to come (and really, has anyone noticed that Apple is using Black a lot more -- the iPhone has a black background, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, and even the iPod all have black backgrounds. Maybe I am reading into this, but isn't it possible that they are going to revamp the GUI with a new look, and go with a darker theme? I think so at least.
