Super sexy TouchScreen Wide iPod... Advertising the Beatles
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the Beatles be more suited towards a music playin' iPod, as opposed to a Video iPod. Well I suppose the video iPod would play music, do coverflow and display "gorgeous album art" too.
I declare a hostile takeover of this thread into the Official SuperBowl CountDown Thread!
muah ah a haha ha ha hahaha ha
Actually if you look at the description of the 'Apple Outsider' forum you'll see this: "Discussion of everything other than technology, ie. The Real World." So this thread wouldn't fit in there.
The SuperBowl isn't technology, but this thread is.
OK Fiddling with some WindowsMedia settings in Parallels (Build 3150) ... Looks doable. Am Trying to install Directx9.0c Feb 2007 version into WinXP2Pro in Parallels.
Getting ready to watch the video straight from CBS.com through IE7 and Parallels.
So it looks like no Apple ad. I think it would have been confirmed by now if it was happening.
Yeah, I'm not sure I take your point. Why would you think it would have been confirmed?
Anyway, I'm hoping for a "Get A Mac" ad that has the PC all hyped about Vista, then the Mac guy asks the PC if he would like to see what his new OS looks like, followed by some really cool new Leopard screens that give us a peek into 10.5.

widescreen video ipod is what im hoping for but probably wont happen. my logical guess is a special edition 5.5G beatles ipod. and beatles music of course.
If people would check on these things, there seem to have been two original sources for the Apple Super Bowl ads.
1) An 'exclusive' by Terry Ott in the Toronto Sun. Terry Ott is a Beatles-news blogger, with his own website... and the info doesn't appear there, oddly enough. He's not an Apple journalist, or even an Apple-rumor blogger. AFAICT, it was strict speculation on his part, with wishful thinking, and people took it as fact.
2) Rob Enderle. Nuff said. His track record makes MOSR look like the NYT.

Where would the surprise be then.

That would be excellent!!
UPDATE:
nvm, i see now
Sorry kids, the ad will be about nothing at all, as it doesn't exist. If it hasn't happened by halftime, it ain't happening.
I can't see it here, but as far as I can guess I don't think has half time happened yet?

The ad will, evidently, be about how wishful thinking and gullibility turn into rumors.
Well, I got suckered in. Probably wouldn't have watched the last 5 minutes had I known the Superbowl add was vapor-advertizing.
First I thought that I missed it during my son's bath--I'm glad I don't have to hold missing the add against him...
