Unfortunately, I agree with you about the release time-frame for Leopard. It is looking more and more like late May or early June.
I'm as eager as anyone for Leopard, but it's really not *too* unfortunate. Apple should take their time and get this OS release right.

Still waiting for that refresh on the Mac Pro, which I do hope comes either at PhotoShop World (April 4-6) or at NAB (April 14-19). I don't care so much about an 8-core machine as much as I would like the 1333 MHz front side bus.
And that Adobe brings out CS3 prior to, or at, PhotoShop World.

No, I agree. I'd much prefer to a have a stable Leopard running around the studio. It's "unfortunate" only in the sense that I have to wait a little longer.
Yeah, I saw that too. Hopefully we'll get a refresh on the Mac Pros in the same time frame. As I've stated above, I don't care about an 8-core set-up, but I would love a 1333 MHz front-side bus.
It's already out as a Beta. What is there to announce? Won't the 'announced' version be the Beta with less bugs or is it possible that new features will be added? I'm not in the software biz (duh, I know) so I'm confused as to how these things work.

The beta you're talking about is PhotoShop CS3.
We're talking about the whole CS3 suite here, including Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign and whatever else they throw in.

Looks like CS3 is arriving March 27.

I read somewhere that ZFS is not in the latest build. I hope what I read is wrong.
ZFS is in the latest build. Not bootable yet.
Does that sound familiar to anyone?????
Damn.

Thanks for clearing that up.
