haha alright then. How about GRAW then? Not quite reality as it's set a few years into the future and there are some new technologies to help you out. But really that game has lasted me much longer than both CoD2 and 3 together.
But if you really want a WWII game, no better than CoD...

i don't play offline story mode though, i get bored of that. i play online multi player, never gets boring cause there's always someone better than you.

Then I would really go with GRAW. I prefer the multiplayer much more. Especially online co-op missions. Great fun that I've been waiting for on CoD since the first game.

GRAW is tough! But time seems to fly when I am sneaking around or running and shooting and sniping and stuff.
Haven't got into COD. I'm more into survival/horror with sci-fi: in otherwords, FEAR, FEAR:XP, HL2, HL2Episode1. Currently on GRAW and NFS:Most Wanted (#2 on the blacklist with two maxxed out Lamborghinis [the two models])............

Yeah seriously.
I probably dumped $150 worth of time at this internet gaming cafe just for the super-fast connection and local games.

Dumb now that I think of it.
Meh... You could have spent that $150 on cigarettes, nicotine patches, speed, mdma, ice, grass, coke, vodka, beer etc... Then you'd be spending a lot more after that.
Online multiplayer at internet gaming cafes saves lives!!
I may be being a bit facetious here but really, Internet/OnlineGaming addictions are not *as bad* as some other addictions one might have in life.
Not so dumb. The reason why I managed to wrangle *some sort of a career* in IT was because of games. The original "multimedia". Myst. Xwing vs. TieFighter. The horribly incompletable (at least for me) SpaceQuest and KingsQuest. The Eco-thingy adventure game by Sierra. Pong, Game-and-Watch, then, Apple][E Lode Runner, BASIC, etc etc. I'm just rambling now.... Wing Commander 1,2,3... Privateer... Before the geek web generation, before AlGore invented the Intarweb, there was... a simple ol' game on cartridge, 5.25" floppy, or 3.5" disk. Oh, and Ultima... long before there was Oblivion. Or hard disks even.
Acutally my favourite weapon at the moment is the LaserRifle in FEAR:ExtractionPoint. 100% straight-line-accurate, powerful enough, looks cool when running around with it in your hands, and you can "draw" burn-marks on walls and furniture and objects and stuff. More capacity and "ammo" for it, would be nice though.
By 2050 when we see actual *real life* laser in rifles, submachine, and hand gun formats, it will be *big*. IMO...
I have COD2 and I kind of have trouble getting into it. I really liked the Medal of Honor series better. While many people prefer the craziness of the combat, I liked the sneaking around of MOH much better. I also liked the AI better. In COD, enemies keep coming until you pass certain checkpoints. In MOH, they're usually dead when you kill them, with some exceptions. I also liked Return to Castle Wolfenstein better. The combat in CoD is fun, but I also like some down moments, where I can sneak around and pretend to be a German, etc.

Take your plasma rifle loving out of this thread.
