    No new hardware at all.

Maybe some audio/video pro apps at NAB, but more likely just an announcement of a future availability (at WWDC).

Jobs likes big splashy introductions. He likes to have everyone falling on the floor in paroxysms of joy while he dispenses the koolaid. And the only opportunity for that to happen is WWDC.

With all the apprehension, all the pent-up demand, all the rumors and speculation that we all have been fomenting about the web, we have created the perfect run-up to WWDC.

Steve can now stroll on-stage at his keynote assured that all of us are sitting on the edge on our seats, nervously holding our cups of koolaid, fully prepared to throw ourselves on the floor in paroxysms of joy.

You don't know much about NAB if you think it's going to just be software. MacPro will almost certainly get a speed bump and a few other changes. Maybe blu-ray as a configurable option?

Maybe even new MacBook Pros, although I would tend to expect those more towards WWDC.

    ;^p

So you're the one that's been holding things up!? I thought it was me. I'll relax now.

    Well, well well....

    Now no Leopard until October....

OK, given this change of events:

No new Macs until around WWDC when we will get to "see" new iMacs and new MacBooks and MBPs, but shipping at end of June or early July with Santa Rosa goodness.

Leopard in October??? Maybe, maybe it slips again.

No new Mac Pros until Penryn is shipping in quantities.

New displays maybe this year, but more likely next year...the wait being for cost-effective LED back light technologies.

    Flame away boys and girls.

I was thinking the same thing, but then again the Mac Pro did just get the CPU refresh. I'm not sure if Apple will make other changes to the Mac Pro so soon after the refresh. Then again, they have been acting weird these days.

A few more days will tell the tale.

Among its many attributes, Leopard will surely be all about exploiting SSE4 features in Penryn, so this prediction makes pretty good sense. If Intel meets its increasingly hopeful 45nm timetable, Leopard and Penryn's widescale release may more or less coincide.

Looks like NAB was software only.

So much for all the hardware predictions
