If the iPhone flops, or has disappointing sales, I am convinced it will be because of the small memory. If you mainly want a phone that plays music, you may be ok, but with all the emphasis on its video capabilities, it really should have come with a large hard drive.

I think video capacity is a minor issue. Last I saw, the usage of the video playback feature of the iPod video devices comprised of a very small fraction of the overall use of the device.
This page claims that video use is only about 2% of the time the device is in use:
Just in case you weren't aware... the iPhone wasn't announced 2 years ago.
Ok, I think we can stop giving fluidinclusion a hard time on this. I think what he meant to say was that he has been waiting for 2 years for a phone LIKE the iPhone, obviously NOT the iPhone exactly. I know I sure have been. Even the latest/greatest always have the suckiest UI for ANY device, let alone a damn cell phone. So, I too have been waiting for a phone LIKE the iPhone.
My wife and I just canceled our Sprint account after six years and went with AT&T not solely for the iPhone but because we have been treated so horribly by Sprint customer service. This just proves there total lack of understanding and downright arrogance.
funnyl, thats exactly why i left att a few years ago to switch to sprint! so far i am happy with them....

Both Sprint and ATT/Cingular usually do pretty badly in the national customer service surveys (JD Power, etc.), so... half a dozen of one, six of another. \

It appears that iTunes video sales are still less than 5% of that of iTunes music sales.

I took the two year wait for iPhone to mean that the wait was for an unannounced, rumored or speculated product.
I suppose... but then, how many have been waiting for a (rumored) new iMac, or (rumored) touchscreen displays?

.
If Sprint can count external media cards as additional storage, then doesn't my Mac Pro count as additional storage for my iPhone?
Okay that is really funny.
Good one.
