Why do they divide Windows on the basis of Sofware (XP, Vista etc.) and divide Mac on the basis of hardware processor (MacIntel and Mac)? Should it not be OS 9 and OS X for Macs?
If they do MacIntel, why not split Windows into numbers for AMD and Intel? If they are doing Vista why not OS 9? I think they have a real mess that confuses the statistics. It's almost as if they have not taken a few moments to think about what they are putting up.
I have enquired to the company, twice, but they have not responded.
Did all the PPC Mac users go back to classic Mac OS?

I don't think so but browsing rich content is a bit painful on an an old iMac G4 so it depends on the sites assessed. Has anyone got Amazon's phone number?

Because Windows runs on a lot of cpu's, just as long as they are all x86.
They split it by OS versions.
Apple only has a useful number of OS's that are part of OS X. It's lumped together, because it's all OS X.
But, the PPC doesn't run the latest software that runs on Intel machines, so it's separated out.

Google does this kind of gorilla marketing.
Interesting choice of words. Usually one would expect Microsoft to do the gorilla marketing and others to go guerrilla....
