There are so many porn sites up, that people can go from one to the other, and back to the first one, getting new, free, content, never actually feeling the need to pay.
DVD sales are dropping a good deal because of this.
The sites that are making money are those out of the mainstream—fetish sites with strong content.
I wouldn't characterize them as "also crying". In any sufficiently large population, there will always be people of just about any mentality. As a whole though, it seems that the porn industry has been made more profitable by the internet and they aren't complaining about it.

Actually, I had a fair amount of companies from the adult industry as clients and customers for my lab, so I'm familiar with the industry. I would even go on a shoot now and then, just to make sure everything was done well, of course.
