For OS 9.x, nothing beats Pro Tools Free on price/performance

If only they'd do an OS X version

There are many flavors of Pro Tools, Guitarbloke. Which one are you talking about?

Like I said, "Pro Tools Free". It's the free hardware independant version - only does 8 tracks of audio and 32 tracks of MIDI (I think), but it's got a bunch of good-quality audio plugins and it's great for demoing songs on a tight budget - you can get a pretty good-quality track out of it, for nothing.

    It was my little joke

Oh, you did say "free" didn't you?

In that case, you're right. Since it's free, it's the undisputed price/performance champ.

Actually, since we're in the oSX area, it could be argued that Pro Tools performance in OSX (or lack thereof) makes its price/performance ratio infinitely poor!
