It would be nice if Apple included Closed Captioning on the rentals or purchases. Not all of us can hear.

In this case it's not really better. More of the same.

Also, the number of people who watch movies on PCs and Macs is miniscule compared to those who would watch on a TV in a living room/home theater/bedroom etc.

BUT the amount who watch a movie downloaded through iTunes through AppleTV is smaller yet. Face it: most people who use iTunes to catch up on a show watch it on their computers or iPods. Plus you can't ignore the fact that you have to buy the AppleTV. That's not an attractive offer when most people who own a HD tv already received one of those upconverting DVD players for free with it. If not they can buy one for chump change and rent a physical copy of the movies with no expiration date from Blockbuster or Netflix and watch it upconverted (which would look pretty much the same as iTunes' version of HD).

I like AppleTV, but I don't see it selling like hotcakes any time soon. Definitely nowhere near mac selling numbers.

Anyone with a dollar in their pocket would be stupid not to buy at those prices if the market is that shortsighted. Dont think it will come to that though.
