Apple posts WWDC 2008 keynote stream
Apple Monday evening posted a streaming version of Steve Jobs' keynote speech at the 2008 Worldwide Developer Conference.
The stream lets users see for themselves what the media and developers saw for themselves during the Apple co-founder's opening presentation.
At the event, Apple drew the most attention through the unveiling of the iPhone 3G and an international launch of the new cellphone for 70 countries.
The company also replaced its .Mac service with MobileMe, a new push data service that keeps calendars, contacts, data, and e-mail synchronized between Macs, Windows PCs, iPhones, and iPod touch players with help from a web-based portal.
The company also recapped iPhone 2.0 updates, including the formal launch of the App Store, and provided a very early glimpse at Mac OS X Snow Leopard, an expansion of the current Mac operating system that improves reliability and security as well as adding new underlying technology.
Apple will also make the keynote available as a separate, more permanent download through its newly-unveiled Apple Keynotes podcast accessible through iTunes.
