OK, since all of us here have ordered Jaguar, I have a question about Carracho. I'd like to take a stab at downloading Jaguar, but the "agreements" that many servers have are a little unnerving (backup purposes only, etc). Does anyone know of a server where I can get it without uploading, and without that uneasy feeling about it?

Well, Carracho is one option . . . there's always par filez (and if you don't undertsand, do a serach on Google) . . . and yes, I will supplant my pre-release copy with an Apple, enrich the stock-holders copy.
Remember that these don't have boxes. They are just the CDs in a CD slip cover...right? To mass produce these puppies to be ready for a WORLD release takes time in the manufacturing process. I doubt we will get it early.
This is another way of Apple to build up hype. Like the whole secretivity with Macworld. They leak a couple out to start some hype and get everyone spurred up.

That uneasy feeling comes from the fact that you're pirating software. All those agreements are bunk, do you actually think they would hold up in any court?
just got my new powerbook. 10.2 CDs were with it. My friend is jealous that the CDs he ordered haven't come yet, but I have mine already. I got the Dev Tools for 10.2 with mine as well, but I'm ADC so it figures.

They're a complete joke, especially the ones that say "I'm a 120 years old" blah blah. If they're going to *try* to be serious sounding, they need to keep the kids from writing them.

As a stockholder, I thank you.
Apple says the retail stores will open for Jaguar release on the 23rd.
"We?re letting the cat out of the bag. Join us at the nearest Apple store Friday, Aug 23, at 10:20 p.m. for a special event introducing Mac OS X v10.2 Jaguar."
Well, people, you are going to get it, and it is not like you are dying for it, if you were, you would go out and try to get it earlier. You ordered it online, and you will get it... you have time! YOU HAVE A week before Apple said you would have it
when you ordered it, it said that it would be ready by August 24th. so, don't worry
I have a somewhat good idea that they are going to start shipping preorders on monday. Why can I say this with a good measure of confidence? Because today a charge from Apple for the amount of Jaguar showed up on my debit card statement, saying that it was pending, and it was dated 8/19. So, Monday's the day, kids.

Whoah, doesn't everyone get the Dev Tools CD? I got one when I ordered my last copy of OS X, and I am ADC, but I don't think I ordered with respect to the ADC membership. Is the cross-tracking system effective? If I buy a copy of Jaguar in a store, will i not get the Dev Tools CD?
no, you get it in your box, and if you don't they are freely available at the Genius Bar at any Apple Store
This is really cool that we are so anxious and excited for Jaguar. Does anyone know a PC user who gets this excited when a new version of Windows comes out...of course not, because Windoze is a truly inferior OS. lol.
Has anyone else gotten an email from Apple about their preorder shipping Monday? I just got one this morning, but I checked the status page in the AppleStore and it claims "your order has been partially shipped. Whenever the other items become available..."
What does this mean in terms of OSX? How can there possibly be a partial shipment of three CDs? Or would there be?
Oh, how I hope you're being sarcastic. The invoice in the email I was sent was only for the expedited shipping charge; there was no mention of the Jaguar software itself. Apple's not operated like this before, so I was merely wondering if anyone else had received similar notices.

If you find one can you let me know? Thanks.

Exploder 5.2 still used the old style buttons on a web form (iCab as well). Nice browsers like Chimera or Omniweb have lickable buttons.

First shipment is the cd sleeves, booklets and the box. The cd´s will be sent later. Why? Just to annoy you because Apple really hates you.
