RunKeeper now running free
Readers who remember our recent interview with Jason Jacobs, who talked to us about RunKeeper, an app which tracks jogs you make using GPS, offering you a breakdown of relevant statistics afterwards. If you were interested in the app but turned off by the $9.99 price, you may be pleased to know that soon RunKeeper will be available free of charge.
The software has been faring well, having been featured in both the NY Times and TechCrunch. However, the company has since decided to drop its price after coming to the conclusion that it would prefer a "massive" community over short-term revenues.
A formal change to the price will come pending Apple's approval.
