Users of Apple's Xsan 2 storage area network software have received two version 2.1.1 updates for the Admin (4.3MB) and FileSystem (26MB) components.

The first update targets issues with using the SAN Setup Assistant to prep storage volumes, Logical Unit Numbers (LUNs) and affinities; it also improves changing a computer between acting as a pure client and metadata controller, listing those computers on the SAN, and showing LUNs that have been truncated.

The FileSystem patch is more general and touches on speed and reliability for the file system, Access Control Lists, volumes in the middle of metadata controller failovers, and upgrades from Xsan 1.4.

Both revisions require Mac OS X Leopard in either client or Server form.
