Apple Aesthetics - faltering?

I much prefer the look of the previous MacBook and MacBook Pro.



I do however like the MacBook Air ? so I guess it has little to do with the keyboard and more to do with the black border around the screen...

First of course is the Macbook Air. I hated the last design of the MB Pro's to boxy.

That was the conclusion I came to today too. The metal bezel on the Air looks much more integrated with the body than that big slab of reflective black glass.



Also, I like the definition the silver bezel gives the edges of the screen. It makes it clearer where the viewing image starts and ends. Not a big thing. Just clearer.

I remember the first time I unboxed an aluminium iMac. I happened to be in a studio doing my freelance thing at the time.



The first question that was asked was 'I assume you can get the picture to fill the screen?' ? which kind of sums up the black borders for me!
