Apple LED Cinema Display in "7-10 days"
Apple overnight changed the availability status of its 24-inch LED Cinema Display from "Ships in November" to "Ships: 7-10 business days."
Unfortunately, the product is still unavailable for order. We'll alert readers as soon as the company makes the product available for sale.
The description of the display is as follows:
With the Apple LED Cinema Display, you can turn your new MacBook into a desktop in three easy connections. The universal MagSafe connector charges your notebook. A new Mini DisplayPort connector makes attaching an external display even easier and faster than before. And a USB connector provides access to three USB 2.0 ports. There's also a built-in iSight camera, microphone, and speaker system that provide a true desktop experience. Made of aluminum and glass, the LED Cinema Display is the perfect companion for the new MacBook family.

I don't think this is very good timing. The last thing people need is an overpriced display when they haven't updated their desktop lineup in ages.
If people buy a display now, there's less chance they will have money left for a computer upgrade in January. Also, who is going to buy these displays before Christmas? A £400 computer screen isn't usually a gift item.
The interesting question most people will be interested in is of course whether or not they'll be matte. I'd like to know if there will still be a 20" version too. Being able to say they are all higher than HD resolution would be a decent selling point but it inflates the entry price unnecessarily.
The current 20" is £400, which is pretty steep considering similar Dells are just over £200. To jump to the £500-600 mark would be a bad move IMO.
