<strong>ah, Akac seemingly has had a better experience with ftp... so i´m optimistic again. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> </strong><hr></blockquote>
Mind you, I use FTP to UNIX and Win2k servers all the time. Now in 6C115, I constantly got hard crashes. In 6D44 - I don't So to me that's much improved. We'll see how well it actually works.
<strong>Can only select ADC people get at this? Is it in the form of an update (vs. the whole OS)? If so, how large is it? I've also heard something has been done to improve QE in this update. Guess Apple just wanted to make good on their Aug 24 promise, and decided to fix the rest later. Such is life in OS land.

Such is life for any developer Seriously. Development isn't just based on what the engineers thing is the best thing to do. Marketing plays into it as well as the accountants. Sometimes...you have to release early to make the $$$ to help pay for the bug fixes. Its sad, but true. The problem comes about when companies like Microsoft who kept doing this over and over again - and just got it ingrained into their culture.
<strong>*Which* ADC members? Premiere only? Full OS, or just an update? Comments from the Read Me?</strong><hr></blockquote>
Don't know which classes it is available to. It is an update (about 16MB in size). Graphics seem much faster and it also made some improvements to Mail as well as some general tweaking of other parts of 10.2.
Nice. Thanks for letting us non-paying ADC members know. I had no delusions it would be available to me, but I wanted to make sure this wasn't some far-from-done build for a future release (vs. an update for the current release).
For those of you who think 10.2.1 is a right not a priviledge, I found it a few minutes ago and it came down in about 3 minutes and installed in 5. This is radically faster than 6C115. Particularly IE 5.2.1. And the QE seems to have been all cleaned up. No more ghosting and much fewer spinning lolypops.
I don't know how long the moderator will allow this reality to remain in this thread's consciousness, but I recommend it a LOT. Thank you for the number TigerWoods99.

Please, keep the pirating instructions OFF THE FORUMS.
I've already had to edit several other posts about pirating lately. I don't want to have to keep doing that. I'll lock and delete the threads instead if I must.
ah, hey brad, can you give me the pirating instructions for downloading the latest build of jaguar?
ha, just kidding...figure 10.2.1 is a week, maybe two at the most, away...believe you me, i am a doofus and need as many builds that are stable as possible to be tested before apple allows me to download and play with it....the nice thing so far about os 10 is that i am not so afraid of software update.....in 8 and in 9 it was my sworn enemy...i actually deleated it once because i couldn;t stop myself from checking it from time to time, yet everytime there was an update it would fvck with my machine and i would spend a day or two getting it back to a working somewhat stable state.....but then again, i am a doofus.....g
Thanks for the update Goof. Have you or someone you know had a chance to use it? Any new features or performance enhancements beyond those typically mentioned?
I have build 6D46. Performance especially after log-in and for shut down has greatly increased. The "sometimes the system crashes when returning from stand-by" bug has apparently been fixed. The note in the installer mentions several enhancements already noted on thinksecret. Overall, nice update.
Has anybody got an old SCSI cd burner he could test in this new build? I still haven't given up hope that one day mine will work (Waitec WT624S)</strong><hr></blockquote>
September 12, 2002 - Sources said that Apple seeded build 6D51 of the next minor update to Mac OS X, v10.2.1.
Over the course of the past week, the company has posted seed downloads of 6D44, 6D46, and then 6D50 for most members of its Developer Connection Web site. More recently, 6D51 was posted.
The latest seeds include release notes providing some general color on the types of updates in 10.2.1. Apple's documentation says that the update has "enhancements and improvements" to Mail, Image Capture, Help Viewer, graphics, printing, networking, Rendezvous, Kerberos, USB, FireWire, SCSI device compatibility, and peripheral support.
Apple is still believed to be on the verge of releasing the 10.2.1 update. According to readers, some Apple technical support representatives began telling this past week that the download would be available soon.
Earlier, we noted the first seeds of 10.2.1. In another report, a source hinted at changes in the SCSI I/O kit -- alluded to in the new 10.2.1 release notes -- which stand to provide developer benefits.
Guessing 10.2.1 will be out sometime this coming week, which is cool because that's when I'll be getting my copy of Jaguar so hopefully I can do a clean install, and then update right away before installing my apps.
Can you check the print dialogue, can you print the first page to one tray and subsequent to others? We could do this until 10.2 when it was removed, in error I believe.
<strong>I think we'll be waiting a little longer for 10.2.1 then. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
Colby2000, did they fix Finder FTP yet? (Please say yes, please say yes!)</strong><hr></blockquote>
Umm...almost. Seems to work great, unless you want to upload. It seems to mount all of the ftp sites as read-only (I tried from GoLive to the same site and it worked fine from there).
Oh...and I don't see anywhere to send different pages of the same doc to different trays...

[QB]So is 6D44 a FC for 10.2.1?

It tries to open and then closes right away. Gotta love unreleased software!!!
