I'm down here in New Zealand, ordered a 17" on the 9th of January. It has the 7200 rpm 320 GB drive as the only option, plus the DVI and VGA adapters and a remote.
Originally the ship date was the 11th of Feb, delivery the 17th. As of this morning (Thursday) it says shipping on the 19th with no delivery date.
I'm somewhat peeved by this all - originally it was 2-3 weeks on the ordering page - that's 3 weeks before mine will even SHIP.
Edit: I now see that the order page on the store has these shipping in "3-4 weeks" in NZ. Is this the same elsewhere? I suppose at least my pre-order makes it only 2 weeks away for me, not 3-4...
Just got my 17" last night. It is such an amazing computer. I had a 17" 2.4Ghz core 2 duo Macbook Pro that I traded in for this model. It was the best decision ever. This model is lighter, thinner, and the hinge is not so loose like the previous 17"(due to the weight of the screen). Not to mention the LCD backlight is really really BRIGHT!!!!! This otshines the cold-cathode backlight in my previous MBP by 2x.

Nice of Apple to ship to European customers (I live in Sweden) without extra "non-US" delay.
Great machine
- but I absolutely HATE the way "Pinch Open & Close" functions (and that there is no way (?) to disable it.
This "feature" got to go (or atleast give us a way to disable it).
Guess it affects all new "no button"-'books, probably driving their users mad.
If you leave your thumb on the lower part of the "no button"-trackpad (as those used to the old trackpad often do) the screen randomly zooms (especially when surfing the webb) when you push your index finger up to the left.

So far a pretty impressive machine - looks great - performs great - keeping fingers crossed...
Reinstalling Adobe Web Suite - taking forever...thinking about upgrading - has anyone upgraded to CS4? is it worth it?
