originally being from alabama i think the only big tittied girls i've ever seen are on the hoods of firebirds or trans-ams. but thats probably just because there's an overall lack of jaguars in the first place (either that, or anyone with the requisite bad taste to airbrush a naked lady on their car can't afford a jaguar). of course tom green's airbrushing lesbians onto his dad's car springs to mind.
at any rate i understood the comparison. although i fear that you've sparked someone's imagination...and shortly we'll be seeing pictures of someone's cube wrapped in low-resolution prints of naked chicks taken off porno sites. you know not to provoke the heteros, michael.
aye...anyway at this point i've forgotten what the original topic was so i'm going to stop now before i give the boys any more bad ideas.

Why low-res? High rez would be so much better for the titties.
After much deliberation, I've decided that the airbrushing naked women on my car would be too much. I think I'll go with the <a href="http://www.jag-lovers.org/snapsdata/7~1010728697.JPG" target="_blank">body kit</a> instead.
After careful consideration, and pondering over the revelations discovered here, I've decided never, ever, ever to go to the US...ever. It sounds like it would be an assault on my design sense. Airbrushed nekkid ladies on $75,000 cars. Oy. Rich people really are running out of things to do.
Well, I've yet to see *anything* airbrushed on a car here in Canada. In person that is. I have seen flames painted on the sides of old cars on television but that's it. But I do live in yet another boring conservative neighborhood where everyone gasps "Did the Greenfields paint their house EGGSHELL white?! Such a distracting, risque colour!"
Okay, just to clarify before someone takes all this out of context. I was joking....or was I? Muahaha. No wait. I was joking. I think. Yep, I was.
Oh, I was so wrapped up in the airbrushed Jaguar sidebar I forgot to mention what I thought of white PowerMacs: A GOOD IDEA. I'd buy one in a second. White is usually accepted as the default background neutral 'colour' so it goes with everything, it's not too distracting and it seems Apple lately is making white everyings: iPods, iMacs, iBooks...uhhh, what else...umm, brochures. Yeah, I've run out of examples.
Apple will use the same keyboard as with the iMac.
Sorry if this already been covered a million times...</strong><hr></blockquote>
I have to disagree. White (ibook, imac) designates the consumer line. Quicksilver/Titanium (PM's and Powerbook) is the Pro line. If the Apollo G4's come out in Quicksilver, I wont be surprised. If the G5's come out in a new case, but that is silver or chrome or Titanium, I wont be surprised either. But if it comes out in white, I will be!
How about some bad-ass black Powermacs with blood red Apple logos and pulsing red power switches? That would rule!
Actually I'd rather Apple expended all their efforts on the G5, and damn a new case design. Paint it barf-green if they have to, just get that damn G5 in it already!
Even at 1.4 GHz, a G5 will be running at half the clockspeed of a Pentium before long.
I think there's nothing wrong with the theory of Computer Customization in general. In the end, it's always a matter of taste. Or lack thereof.
Look at cars. People take plain-jane (or plain-jack) Honda Civics and customize it. <sarcasm>I hear this is big now.</sarcasm>
Granted, I personally wouldn't do to my car what others have done, but I think about the industry this could create for computers.
I've seen quite a lot of websites about people customizing Macs. MacAddict even did it as a feature. I haven't seen any on the Wintel side, but then again, I'm not looking over there.
What if Macs became a symbol of computer customization? What if people would buy them just to customize them? After all, everybody wants to be an individualist. Well, except me.
I can already feel design purists cringing. But who says Apple has cornered the market in tasteful computer design. Let others out there have a shot, and maybe they can come up with something new.
Just in case, I'm going out to look for an airbrush for my G4. Then, all I'll need is a well endowed model...
If I end up with a white set (ie, I buy the iMac), I'll drop you a line. Severance check is coming 1/25-ish, and I'm hoping Apple knocks me down with the lowend powermac+17" display set by then.

it's sad when someone does that to a car, "well, i can't afford a real Aston Martin DBR, so i'll buy a new jag and put some cheapo body kit on it. Am i cool or what?"
I saw a body kit for an Toyota MR-2 that mad it look like a real shitty Ferarri 512 ::shrug::

Mind you, I like white. So I'd like it, too.

So, I think they can keep working if they want.

The next PowerMac's going to be a Maserati-esque Jag XJS?
Anyone wanna trade their black mouse and keyboard for a white set in a few weeks?
YES! I have 2 sets of black full size with optical mice!
I would LOVE to trade one for yours!
Thanks, bliz.
