Apple speeds up MobileMe Control Panel for Windows
An update on Tuesday night saw Apple release version 1.3 of its MobileMe Control Panel for Windows (2.3MB).
The upgrade accelerates the sync time for calendars and contacts stored in Microsoft Outlook, pushing updates in real time both to and from the computer.
It also adds an icon to the Windows system tray that signals when a sync is underway.
Installing the update requires Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Vista Service Pack 1, Outlook 2003 or 2007 for calendar updates, and iTunes 8.0.2 or newer.
