Where are my screen captures????... HELP

You know the shortcut (Command, shift, 3) to get a screen capture?? Well, in the iBooks, G5s, etc, with no Intel chips, those pictures would save directly to the desktop. I tried to do the same thing with my MacBook Pro and eventhough I hear the shutter, letting me know that I've taken the screen capture shot, I cannot see the picture on my desktop. Where is it?

If anybody knows where it's saving it to...AND if I can choose to save those screen captures to the desktop...PLEASE let me know.

Force Quit the Finder and try again.

If that doesn't work, download Onyx, go to Maintenance > Verify & Repair Permissions > Execute. When you launch the App, it will ask you for your password. This is normal, and should fix the issue.

It's got something to do with the Intel models...don't know why.

Did you do both of those things, cause I've got an intel model?

Try (Command+Shift+4), then click and drag, see where that ends up.

    Thanks for the advice :-)

It now works fine. The Repair Permissions did it :-)

    Thanks,
