Replacing Ram

iMacDV400 64 native i added a 128 mem chip last year

Can i replace the 64ram that came with my unit with a 512 chip so my total would be 640mb? ram is cheap now

any recommendations as to quality ram, is MacMall ram good quality?

    Yes. I just did that with my iMac. All you have to do is push the tabs on the sides of the old ram, it will come out, and you can replace it.

    You can easily swap them over, you've added 128 already so you know the procedure. You can have up to 1gig as far as I'm aware, but 640 should make a big difference. If you're in OS9 turning off Virtual Memory should help give a speed bump as well (but you probably knew that already).
