Take Firefox for example: I have several windows open.

How do I navigate through the open windows?

On WIndows I'd use alt+tab.

I can't figure out the Mac equivalent.

The only way I've found how to do what I want is to click on Window when in Firefox.

What if you're in another application... how do you jump to a specific window for Firefox?

Thanks.

Also, in many programs clicking Command+`(the key above tab) once will do it. This cycles through the windows, just as Command+Tab switches through windows. Exposé, however is better, since you can see all of the windows. Press the F9-F12 keys until you get the hang of it.

You can adjust these features in System Preferences>Dashboard & Exposé

PS. When fooling around with Exposé, open lots of different windows, including movies. See how it works.

Jeez, don't you guys ever click on menus??

Safari: Window -> Select Next/Previous Tab

    Cmd-}, Cmd-{ or Cmd-Shift-left/right arrow

Here, try this web page: file:///Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/Shortcuts.html

OM2, here's a general hint for using a Mac... the Help system is actually helpful. I know, I know, coming from Windows or Linux, it's kind of shock, but it's true.

Thanks, Kicky. I can't stand going all the way up to the menu... it's so bloody far.
