Weird boot screen, I've never seen this before.

Ok this has not caused any problems apart from a really slow boot up time. Anyone have any ideas as to what might of gone wrong. It's either firmware or a boot process problem as it happens before OS X has started. Btw: iMac intel 24" 2gb ram, 10.4.9

Means it's looking on the network for a boot device. Try holding the option key while booting.
