AppleWorks 6.2.2 question

When I save a document in the OSX version, it saves as one that is for the OS9 version. What I mean is that say I save it to the desktop, and click on it, classic starts opening.

I can open AW OSX and open it through file-open but is there a way to make sure it saves so that all i have to do is click on it and have the OSX version of AW open instead of the 9?

    1) AppleWorks 6.2.2 should work in OS 9 and OS X. You shouldn't need to have a separate OS 9 binary.

    2) Get Info on the document, Select Open with application from the pull-down menu. Select AppleWorks 6.2.2 for OS X. Click Change All... After that, all .cwk files should open in AppleWorks 6.2.2 for OS X.
