I'm considering recommending crossover to all my switcher friends who complain about e-banking and stuff... and MSN is another issue. Everybody in HK uses MSN Messenger (and no one uses AOL). And getting the iSight to work consistently with aMSN is a bitch. Works every time with Mercury, but Mercury is painfully slow and has a horrible interface.
yeah i downloaded mercury to test it out on my windows computer ( my only computer ) and it was terribly slow. Anyone know if msn works in cross over?
I could test to see if it runs but I don't have a camera. I would doubt that cameras will work because Crossover doesn't have USB support AFAIK. It should work fine in Parallels or VMWare though.

thing is though is that i don't feel like running it in a window which is in a window, i want it on my desktop like a regular program.

That's what the coherence mode is for. It hides the Windows desktop levaing the application on its own. I haven't managed to get it to work though.

It looks as though all you do is use the isight drivers from the Bootcamp installer.
