Does anyone know if AT&T/Cingular or Apple will be taking preorders? Otherwise, I'll have to take the day off and wait outside of the store or worse overnight on the sidewalk.

Maybe his "friends" merely want to see if they can drive down the price of Apple stock by starting a false rumor, buy some up at a reduced price, and then cash in when the iPhone arrives on time.

OK, so I am "no one", I can deal with that... but 8GB with no option for expansion... in an iPod capable of playing movies...
I used the SD slot in my Treo all the time. A card with music, a card with a couple movies, another with a bunch of apps/files i used for my job. I found it to be a handy way of expanding the limited amount of internal flash memory. Granted, the iPhone's 8GB is WAY more than the Treo sported, but I feel limited by the 6GB on my iPod mini... and it doesn't even do movies/photos. I'd really like to discover that the iPhone can replace my pBook on short trips.
