ibook not going to sleep anymore

Hey, some help would be appreciated.



My ibook G4 is not going to sleep of its own accord anymore. I have it set to sleep after 10 min of inactivity, but it doesn't.



It still goes to sleep when it's closed, but not otherwise.



Any ideas?

    Did you try resetting the PMU? shut the computer down. Disconnect everything from it. Take out the battery. Make sure the power chord is not connected to it too. With everything disconnected, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. This resets a connection on the logic board that manages power and sleep issues. It won`t hurt your computer but you`ll have to reset the clock when you put it back together again.

    Or perhaps there is some process that is "active" ?... preventing the machine from sleeping.



    You don't have something running, like iChat or Azureus, etc., that the machine see's as a working application?
