Virtual PC ::
Can the virtual pc [running xp] have a different LAN IP than the Mac OS [that it's running off of?]? or do they both have to share the same ip?
also:::
in windows [via virtual pc] can you access your mac partitions? example: can you play music off of your mac [hfs+] partition while IN windows on virtual pc?
thanks

Different IP: don't know, but I think so.
Access Mac drives: yes, with the additions installed.
ps - what's with the ::: after all the threads you start? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
so eugene: you CAN use two different LAN IPs [still using the same NIC]...?
the ":::" is for my purpose. it makes it easier for me to locate them when I go back through forums. Faster for me to locate, easier on the eyes ;-)

Additions are what connectix calls the extra software that you can install in windows after you've installed the VPC program. They allow you to do things like share drives/folders with windows. I'm not sure if that's been rolled into the actual program but up until 5.0.2 you had to install them to do it. They should be included on your cd or you can download the latest version of them from their website.
re: the ::: thing. I understand. But you know you can get email notifications when someone reply's to your post?
yeah, but IMO email notification is bothersome. I don't like receiving za-zillion of emails :_P
unless it bothers people [which i hope not] , the ::: method works wonders for me
*in case you see the ::: in other forums ;-) you know who it is*
