Microsuck Access for mac?

Is there anything that is comperable on OS X?



My company whats to redo the website using access databases but I would rather something that I can work on from home and from work- something cross platform.



Or is there anything on the mac that can open and edit access files?

    You won't run a good web site with Access on any platform! Choose something like MySQL (for small to medium sites). It's cross platform, and much better for running web sites.

    Sucky M$ access doesn't even deserve to be called database! In fact it isn't even a relational database. MySQL is great (I hear NASA uses it). It also integrates very nicely with apache. Find it at mysql.com



    ...and yeah, it's free. Open source actually. It's also cross platform as stated above, but running anything web-related on windows is of course not recomended!

    Only way to run Microsoft Access databases on the Mac is via PC Emulation software like VirtualPC or RealPC. Of course you always can use Access on a PC, to export to a DBF, Text File, or Excel Worksheet, and then import it into Filemaker Pro or some other Mac Database on the Mac.

    FileMaker Pro 6 opens up MS Access db's just dandy.

    If you want to use MySQL - take a good look at Lasso. It is not free, but it's a really, really good tool for making database hooked up websites. It comes with MySQL and has database connectors for FileMaker, Lasso-MySQL and standalone MySQL. More databasedrivers are on the way.
