Adobe Premier. . . .
Okay I bought the Adobe digital video collection, for 500 from a education software supplier. It arrived and is not a scam so thank god. My question: It only specifies that it has adobe premier 6(i know that adobe premier 6.5 is out but maybe the sight is trying to save space by not adding the .5?), will this run in OS X?, this is all that the sight says about this product:
Adobe Digital Video Collection 7.0 Mac(Prem6/Photo7/After5.5/Illus10)CDROM
Standard Retail Price: $1,199.95
Your Academic Price: $489.95
I do not want to ever have to use classic. . . the price is sorta worth it just for photoshop, after effects and illustrator but I really need Premier.
On another note, I haven't heard much about premier, fcp and avid are way above me in price and what they offer, and I am finding iMovie quite limiting (well of course!) I assume that premier is a good step between for video editing.
Also, it says CDROM at the end, I assume this is all I am getting no manual or happy things. It would really suck to be getting a OS 9 version of premier.

But not as powerful as FCP
Also....FCP so far is the only package at this price range that can support HD and film resolution clips.

... and 24P format too.
I got the box and the best news came, it really did premiere 6.5 but the sight shortened it to 6, because their lame-ass's. I think that premier will be good for learning because it is easy to use. If fcp really is only 300$ for educational purpose's, then in a few years a might consider it. Thank you all for your help.
P.S. one last question are After Effescts 5 and Illustrator 10 both OS X?
i think AfterEffects 5.5 is when it gets into X, not sure about 5.
check Adobe.com
In general 6.5 seems a rather small update. Real-time previewing, better QT and AE integration, and the Title Composer thing...otherwise I dunno. Seems pretty skimpy. Oh, and that OS X native thing.
