Seagate Laptop Hybrid Drives
So, Seagate released a hybrid drive with 256 MB of solid state memory to store the most accessed data for faster boot times and less power consumption.

It's advertised as unleashing the possibilities of Vista, but I wonder how well it will work on OSX. Also, What will happen in a dual boot environment, where two OSes are using the same hard drive?

If it just presents itself as a SATA disk then I see no reason why OSX or a dual boot environment would have a problem. They're not that fast for sequential read/write but their random reads are very fast indeed. What would be cool is if Apple bought up a company called FusionIO (www.fusionio.com) - I love the sound of their new thing.
I'm sure it would work just fine with OSX, the main question is what happens when it's getting conflicting info from 2 different OSes...
