navigator wont start: 2nd instance already running

navigator crashed on me, and now when i start it, there is an error message that says it cant start since there is another instance of it already running.

but there really isnt.

what is the file, pref or otherwise, that i can delete that will clear this? (i have tried to delete all ref to navigator and chimera, and then re-install. however, the new installation gives the same error message, so i'm not getting all of it, it seems.)

Delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Chimera and try it again.

Not necessary. You only need to delete the lockfile (don't know the exact name... you *will* find it) *within* the directory Brad named.
