Sluggish iMac

I've just been on my friends iMac which is exactly the same specification as mine, 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM etc. I've noticed his appears to be operating a bit faster than mine and wondered what all the plausable reasons for this could be?



I can probably offer more information but have no idea what would be likely to cause such a problem.

    Do you have ppc-only apps running in the background?

    How much free disk space do you have?

    You could also try repairing permissions.

    Or any apps? running alot of apps will slow down your computer, no matter what kind they are

    Different system versions might cause speed differences.
