Menu bar translucency idea: Check this out

When I first saw this image, I thought Apple did a last minute change to the menubar. To me, it looks like apple made the very left and very right sides of the menu bar opaque becoming more translucent toward the center. A good compromise I thought but someone pointed out to me that this is an optical illusion.



What think you if this was actually implemented?

    it's not true. it just depends on what background you have. it might seem to look like it but the thing is is that the menu bar adjusts to the background.

    Yeah, my background is nearly black at top, and my menu bar doesn't appear to be translucent at all.
