quiet iMac price drop...

I've been watching the 24" iMac for a few months and have been planning on purchasing at the next upgrade... Back in mid December I screen captured the spec/price div on store.apple.com... Today when I checked back I found that the price has dropped (not significantly, but it's still a price drop)

oh, also... I'm an academic buyer (i.e. $145 less than regular price)

-$45 every little bit is appreciated[/CENTER]

45 for the lack of remote maybe? Although I'd say the remote is included with the iMacs still. Still $45 is hardly a reason to start a thread.

Ireland, you have been a total debbie-downer lately...

Which component or components are reduced in price?

Right.. $50 cheaper now at the Apple Store (U.S.); from $2299 to $2249.

If you choose to BTO the hard drive, it costs the same as on day 1.
