That depends on what you mean. The press is generally allowed to attend and report on the keynote. For most of the conferences, I think you need to have paid, and I think the press is discouraged or barred from attending those. But I think anyone that's willing to pay to go can go.

Except for the Keynote, you must be an ADC member or a Registered iPhone Developer. And, from the FAQ for WWDC ...

It's a developer conference. Well at least that will be their excuse. If they do hold off the 3G iPhone until the keynote, it may have quite a few upgrades.
Leopard was first discussed in June 2005 at the WWDC 05 just two months after Tiger was released that year. It was demonstrated the following year at the WWDC 06. I think it's possible 10.6 will at least be mentioned. Maybe we'll get confirmation on the codename.
I don't think so. This WWDC is all about the iPhone.
OK, everyone post your best guess at what the "...one more thing" will be.
My guess? Real GPS features on the iPhone.
Possibly, good guess. Or new Cinema Displays. If it's new cinema displays I hope they have the sense to announce 24" and 30" LED displays with redesigned exteriors, and a budget 20" screen.
I mean I don't want the chip itself. We dated once and it's been weird ever since.
Seriously, of course I'll turn it off but the additional cost (included R&D) and space it takes up is a waste for me. But I feel the same way about cameras in phones too. As previously stated, I'm in the minoroty so I'll deal with it. I just prefer to have good, long lasting GPS and high quality camera as separate devices.
It would be interesting to see if Apple will still use Google Map if they use GPS. However, using Google Maps will require internet connection. GPS maps are usually low resolution, ugly, and need big space to save all the data, I really rather have Google Maps. I would like to see how they solve this.

They also don't bog the storage capacity down with all the map data or have to supply for countries that currently don't have any GPS road mapping. For instance, I can't get Brasil maps for my Tom Tom. You can buy the country or region maps you want from the vendor you prefer.
How is having access to accurate GPS a problem at all? Google maps are already geo-referenced, now we have GPS to draw a little dot. No issues. No problems.
The iPhone Google Maps already use the geo-locations of transmission antennas to center the estimated position cookie-cutouts via signal strength. putting a little dot instead of a big circle is trivial. Hardly any application code changes required at all.

My Tom Tom has 3D driving view, audible directions and lists numerous possible destinations like schools, restaurants, hotels, etc. These are all stored on the device for entire country. I'm talking about the numeric value of each GPS location, I'm talking about what is needed to make the software a worthwhile replacement for a separate GPS appliance.
The Finder still sucks, file browsing on XP is much easier than on OSX, Apple might be selling more machines now than before but they're losing their edge in user-experience that they once had.
Also, I don't know how many people use dual-monitors but having two separate applications each running on a separate monitor is not at all intuitive on OSX, the menu bar can only exist on one of the two screen, and again XP gives you menus on both screens.
You can't move or change file-names in the open/save window, you can't remove the "permanent" sidepanel in Finder window, can't disable the file-info column in the column view, and reducing a columns width prematurely eats file names and it does it from the center-out!! AAARRRGH
I'm not saying XP is a better OS than OSX but a better user experience on OSX has been overdue for some time now, the current one is developing antibodies in my system.

Those are valid annoyances. The editing names in dialogue windows may be a K.I.S.S. choice, but the others should be added. They also need to have a Cut option and Paste Alias option. I hate having to drag for a cut and the extra step of creating an alias and then dragging it to the location I want.
There is always Path Finder as an option. Cost money but there is a free trial.

I know it won't happen, but it would be so cool if "one more thing" were iPhone on other carriers besides AT&T.
I've been with T-Mobile since they were Voicestream (on my Handspring Visor with Springboard phone module), but I guess I'll have to switch now ... I've been waiting for this since the 1st gen iPhone was released!
Yeah, Cougar sounds nice. Unfortunately it has an 80's rock reference to it, but it is my favourite so far.
I think the name works for marketing too, though the more modern argot of cougar to mean an older, financially set women looking to bag a younger trophy boyfriend/husband does come to mind.

Really? I'm not sure whether I should be proud that I'm too naive to have known of this argot.. or should I feel hunted? :-D

I meant Mac apps for sale through the iTunes App Store.
Will it would likely be a separate store, possibly. But I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen sooner or later.
I wonder if we will hear about os x 10.6 yet? Leopard is long out, the iphone sdk is long out, what's next for developers?
Cocoa touch for Mac OS X
Surprise us with a new product Apple.

Personally, I don't want a GPS chip
Don't turn on GPS then, problem solved.
Mac OS X 10.6 Lynx
If they call it a cat, it will be the king of the jungle LION

I wouldn't go with Lynx, the deodorant is far too popular in the public mind.

Is it just me but does Lion not sound right for an OS X codename? I can't explain why; it just sounds wrong to me.
PS: How can the lion be king of the jungle when lions reside in savannahs? Are they outsourcing to tigers?
