Hi all,

I'm having a problem with Software Update showing the 10.5.3 update 'ready to install' after I've already installed it. I even went to the extra measure of replacing it with the full combo installer to make sure. Any ideas on what may be causing this problem, and if there is an easy way to get around it?

Does it still say 10.5.2 if you click About This Mac from the 'apple' menu

No, it's most definitely 10.5.3. Very odd, eh?

if you have Time Machine set-up is it possible to roll back and update via Software Update.

Maybe you didn't need the combo

    Run this:

    pkgutil --pkgs

Verifty that you see something like this:

    com.apple.pkg.update.os.10.5.3.combo
