I think it's pretty fair to say that the MacBook Pro will NOT be getting any loving at tomorrow's keynote. I hope that I am wrong! Sorry Mr. Tailpipe, there's too much going to be going on with the iPhone 2, .Mac changes, and Mac OS X 10.6 to cram in a new notebook. Besides it just doesn't seem to fit the theme of this year's show.

I think it does fit with the show. Think about it.
OS iPhone = New iPhone
OS X = Maybe new MBP?
It would add some balance to the speech. It also would make sense with all the updates to apple software. Not to mention recent changes to the MPB store webpage.
Over at MacRumors a poster has heard that 20-21" wide laptop bags are being handed out at the Registration for WWDC. Interesting... I'm hoping for redesigned MBPs with the addition of a 20" model. (But mostly just redesigned MBPs)

Yeah, what's up with this? 20-21 inches wide would be a 23-24" screen...too big for a laptop, IMO, although I'd love it if it meant the MBPs were being updated. Maybe it's to carry out a new Cinema Display for every developer? Doubt it...

Strange. Any ideas?
You're right, I didn't even stop to think that a 20" wide bag would mean a larger screen than 20" because of the diagonal screen measurement... Very strange indeed, if that rumor is in fact true. Could just be a bag to throw promotional materials and such into though... although that is a large bag if intended for that purpose alone.
Okay, Ladies & Gentlemen, before everyone loses the plot I thought it might be helpful to summarize expectations for Monday based on a consensus of what everyone is saying.
1. 3G iPhone with video calling, GPS and 32 Gb
2. OSX iPhone 2.0
3. .Mac rebranded and repackaged to offer new functionality (possibly called .me)
4. OSX 10.5.4
5. OSX 10.6 preview (possibly called Snow Leopard)
6. New version of Safari for both Windows and OSX
And here is the rumour that just won't go away....
7. OSX for Windows
(Could this be the real reason behind the twin Bay bridges? No, it's about OSX for Mac and iPhone, but you never know)
And one more thing...
8. New MacBook Pro
Will MacBook Touch / Newton 2 device show? Too close to call. I say probably not.
I saay pretty good list. Just hope 7. doesn't happen

And for the record the end of my new signature is not a lesson in masturbation.
Bugger!! I have been using it as a mantra for a week now
1. 3G iPhone with video calling, GPS and 32 Gb YES
Wrong. No video conferencing. That was a wild rumor anyway.

Huh? Did I miss the 32Gb mention? I saw 8 and 16.

There's my bummer.

No 32GB YET.
No 32GB YET.
And there's no 512GB one YET, either.
My confusion stemmed from earlier in the thread, where DH says "yes" about the 32GB prediction:

when it was actually a NO.
