I simply meant I was being sarcastic when I said:

Obviously, there's no 1:1 connection between a (slightly) updated build and major hardware revision.

As far as I could tell, it was never removed. Maybe for an hour or two, but I didn't see it.
Cool things:
Global view settings are now default, and apply to all folders unless explicitly set to custom settings. Don't know if this was in 10.1.2 or not, but I just noticed it. Windows keep their views. The toolbar no longer makes unrequested appearances. Folders on the root volume now keep their positions instead of defaulting to alphabetical ordering. Networked (Appletalk) printer plays nicer with DSL connection. Fewer kernel panics so far (only downside to duals).
To download pre-release software, you need to have a release key. The only people who get those are those who actually pay for their memberships; select and above. There's also a cd mailing we get with even more stuff.

As is obvious the pulling of 10.1.3 means that the secret Apple base on the moon suffered a decompression event in the subterranean software development vault. It will be repaired shortly and regularly scheduled broadcasts will resume. Please stand by.
